Thomas Pilat is our Friend, Family Member and Co-Worker. Tom is one of the Animal Control Officers/Special Police Officers for the Town of Tonawanda Police Department and he and his family have lived in the Town of Tonawanda for over 65 years. He is also the Owner of TJ’s Absolute Sound and has been entertaining thousands of people for many years with his Karaoke and Sound System Company.

Story
Recently Tom has been diagnosed with Small Cell Lung Cancer, and is currently undergoing aggressive chemotherapy and radiation treatment to help control this Extremely Aggressive form of Cancer.
Tom has always put on a smile and has that “IT” factor that makes people feel like they are the most important person in the world. He is an extremely upbeat, caring and a loving person, he continues to try and be this way despite this devastating diagnosis and aggressive treatment. To the world he stays upbeat and keeps that smile and positive attitude despite the way he truly feels. He has dealt with the reality of this illness with a faith and determination and is always ready to devote anything he can to anyone in need. But now, it is time for us to step forward and help him by giving back during this tragic and difficult time.
Due to his illness he has been confronted with unforeseen costs and several financial burdens because of this Disgusting Disease. Many of us have come together to form “TEAM TOM” (Please visit www.facebook.com/teamtompilat and “Like” our page) and will be holding a fundraiser to help him with his financial struggles. We are asking you to help Tom by taking part in this fundraiser by making a donation or contribution of your own.
The Benefit for Tom will take place on Sunday, January 18, 2015 at The Knights Of Columbus # 2535 (Madonna Council) located at 755 Erie Avenue, North Tonawanda, New York 14120 from 2pm to 7pm ($20.00 a Ticket Pre-Sale / $25.00 a Ticket at the door). We will be holding a Basket Raffle, 50/50 Split Drawings and a Raffle for Big Ticket Items. We are looking for donations of Items for these Raffles. We will also be providing Music, Dinner and Beverages (Beer, Wine & Pop) all day as well.
